One reason I decided to create a blog is that, after 57 years on earth, I’ve learned and discovered a lot, and maybe even gained some knowledge and wisdom along the way. In fact, when I tell someone my age, I often add, “I’ve worked very hard for these years!” And I have worked hard. We all do. After all, if life is nothing else, it is certainly challenging! So why not share the wealth with whoever might be interested?

I actually wanted to write a blog for a while and started one about a year ago but never published it. In my first and only entry for that blog, I described my loneliness at the time. I updated that article so that it could be my first post in my current blog. I also will write about the Covid 19 virus and its many “gifts” including loneliness.

Another reason I started a blog has to do with how I communicate with other people and vice versa. I needed a place where I could freely say my thoughts, beliefs, opinions, and ideas. Since I speak with a soft voice and I am short, what I say is often overlooked when I’m in a group. Some people are just used to talking over me as if I’m not there. Sometimes I wonder if they think I don’t have much to say or that I’m stupid. Even when I speak with someone one-to-one, I often don’t get a chance to say much since I’m known as a “good listener”.

My blog focuses on physical and mental health. I’ve had to deal with many physical and mental health issues throughout my life, such as Type I Diabetes and depression. My goal is to help others with their issues and maybe to connect with them through this blog.

So, here I go….. Hope it helps!

Have you ever had trouble talking and being heard in a group?
